The cat version

No costume, so the work is in the crop and the light. Cats get their own framing — narrower, seated slightly lower, ears fully in frame — and the light is matched to their coat rather than to a dog's.

Which of the two

Light is the gentler one: brighter, warmer, less weight. Choose it for a room with daylight, or when the portrait is a gift and you cannot be sure how it will land. Forever Dusk is the darker version of the same idea.
