We built this because the waiting made no sense
Every custom pet portrait studio works the same way. You pay first. Then, one to three days later, an email arrives with a proof. Some of them charge an extra $10 to send that proof sooner — which means the wait is not a technical limitation, it is a product.
The whole time, you are sitting with the only question that actually matters: is this going to look like my dog, or is it going to look like a dog?
So we built it the other way round. Upload a photo, see the portrait in about ten seconds, and decide with the thing in front of you. Nothing is charged until you have looked at it and said yes.
What we decided not to do
No permanent sale. No struck-through prices, no countdown timers, no “only 3 left”. If a store needs artificial urgency, the product is not doing the work.
No invented social proof. Every review on this site comes from someone who bought something. We do not run a counter of portraits sold, and we do not display press logos for coverage that does not exist.
No claims we cannot back. We do not say “hand-illustrated”, because it would not be true. What we say is: your photo, artfully staged, checked by our team. Material descriptions come from our print partner's own specifications, not from a copywriter's imagination.
Dogs and cats, equally
Most of this industry is built for dogs, with cats as an afterthought — the same templates, the head scaled down, the ears clipped off at the top. We build every style twice, with separate head placement and ear clearance for each species. It costs us more work. It is the difference between a portrait of your cat and a portrait of a cat.
Forever
Some of what we make is for pets who are no longer here. That work gets its own styles, its own tone and no jokes. It never goes on sale.
